Lakeside Retreat

Description

The space is intentionally centered on its stunning waterfront setting, using oversized windows and sliding glass panels to dissolve the boundary between indoors and out. A soaring gabled main volume — anchored by Douglas-fir and steel trusses — unifies living, kitchen, and dining areas under one luminous canopy. Natural materials like warm wood beams, handmade tile, and an earthy palette reflect the woodland surroundings, while thoughtful spatial zoning creates distinct public, private, and guest areas. The result is a serene yet social retreat that celebrates views, light, and connection — with sustainable touches like geothermal heating and SIP panel roofing subtly ensuring year‑round comfort.
