Site Visits with D|A Design

Site visits are an important part of our design process. They allow for hands on collaboration with contractors, electricians, plumbers, and clients. Here are some of the things you can expect to happen at site visits with our team:

Client Communication

At multiple points in the building and design process, our team will walk through the space with our client. This is where you can expect to give feedback and concerns regarding function and design of the space. We will talk through it together and make sure everyone is on the same page. This is an essential part of our process because it opens up a line of communication in person and allows the client to physically see the space.

Problem Solving

Throughout the building process, we also walk through the site at least once a month. Multiple times a month once finishes start going in. This allows us to check in with the contractor and problem solve together as issues arise. We troubleshoot issues such as space constraints, structural limitations, or budget constraints, devising innovative solutions that maintain design integrity while addressing practical considerations.

Design Details

Once finishes start going in, we are at the site very often to assess the quality of the finishes, textures, and materials chosen at the beginning of the design process. We can do a lot of work from our computers in rendering the room to look similar to the final product, but there is nothing quite like seeing it in person. We always want to make sure everything is good quality and will make our clients happy.
